Week 16 Day 1

Today we studied for the test on Day 2. Nothing much happened other than studying and completing the essay for the test which was hard to find the solution

Week 15 Day 2

Today we watch the women suffrage movie. Women suffrage is not a thing that we laugh at. They are so pity. Not all women that time can vote, women at the age 30 can already vote.

Week 15 Day 1

Today our teacher (Mr.Rick) didn't come to school. Mr.Makala teaches the class for the day. The class made describe question. We made a really hard question for the team beside us. The other team madea  suprisingly easy question for us.

Week 14 Day 2

Today Mr.Rick did not come to school. Mr Makala took care of the class. We did the describe questio nagain and we got better and better at making the questions and also answering the question. It was fun.

Week 14 Day 1

Today Mr.Rick didn't came and Mr.Olen took care of the class. We did the describe question. We asked others group hard question and answered fairly difficult question.

Today we discussed about the cambridge checkpoint exam and how to do our work so we can do it nicely and properly. We did exercises too.

WEEK 12 - DAY 2

Today we continue making our poster about "How did Britain come to control 1/4 of the world by 1900?" we did a lot of research and handwrite a lot of decorations to make our poster interesting, it was fun to do it in groups.

Week 12 day 1

Today we start making our poster. The poster is about "why did Britain control 1/4 of the world by 1900's? We do it by group. The poster needed to be a 3D poster, means the poster is like a pop up poster. We color, decorate, and use our own imagination.

Week 11 day 2

Today we start making the essay. We do the essay by group. We do it carefully and diligently. We do it together by group. If we need help we can ask Mr.Rick how to make it.

Week 11 day 1

Today we talk about how to make the essay, and we continue making the hard essay. It makes us stress cause it took many pages to do and also needed to be persize.

Week 10 Day 1

Today we did the inquiry cycle too. We did the "Sorting Out" in the inquiry cycle. We answer the question as usual with our opinion. We tell what are we feeling with that question, give our opinion, our suggestion.So then we did the "Going Further" in the inquiry cycle next week, the green color in the circle.  We did this in the google docs, we share our opinion upon our friends, share them and collaborate together.

Week 9 day 2

Today, We finished section 2. We also interviewed Mr.David in the teacher's lounge. We asked about the history of England and how the economic are growing. We did it fluently without the disturbance of others. We focused on making the question in the classroom. It was well did and the question are decent. Our answers are all written down in the google drive.

Week 9 Day 1

So today we just finished up our inquiry cycle. Nothing much we just realized we needed to interview someone so we picked Mr. David. We were going to talk about how England controlled 1/4 of the world in the 1900's and this was our topic for the inquiry cycle. And then after that we just finished up our tuning in, in our inquiry cycle and added a few more explanations to our inquiry cycle. Mr Rick also told us we needed to do an essay on a MLA format so we started on that too. And the whole period was either used for finishing up the inquiry cycle or doing the MLA format

WEEK 8 - CLASS 2

Today we do the Finding out in the Kath Murdoch inquiry cycle. We expand what we did on CLASS 1 then we tell our opinions about the question in the 'Finding out' in the inquiry cycle. We show our opinion to show that if we know what is the question talking about, we also find the answers from our research sources. We typed down our BHQs, the questions which answer will lead to our soon to make argument. We do this all together, we discuss to each other what are our opinion are to answer the Kath Murdoch 'Finding Out' questions and we also did the research together so it would be easier and faster rather than doing it alone.

Week 8 day 1

Today we do the Finding out in the Kath Murdock inquiry cycle. We tell our opinion about the question in the 'Finding out' in the inquiry cycle. We show our opinion to show that if we know what is the question talking about. We do this all together, we discuss to each other what are our opinion are to answer the Kath Murdock 'Finding Out' questions.

Week 7 Day 2

Today, we did the inquiry cycle, we did the tuning in question in the Kath Murdock. We answer the question as a group. We answered our quesion with our own opinion. We answered the question clearly and we are confidence of our answer because it is our opinion, so we do not need to worry if our answeris wrong or correct.

On Monday September 8
Today we presented our landscape, Kyle explained about the landscape since he did it on one of his LDL, our landscape was about the Manchester to Liverpool bridge that was made during the industrial revolution. We just spent one hour just looking at other people's landscapes since nobody made a PowerPoint or a poster. Some made Brighton bridge, some made canals and some made Aqueducts. So we just learned other people landscape and how they looked like, we also learned on how in Brighton bridge did the women get to the sea without being seen.

WEEK 6 - CLASS 2

We have learned today's lesson on CLASS 1. Today's Kyle's turn to teach. He teaches us about the railways and ways of connecting with another people in the 1800s in London. The Manchester to Liverpool railways was built in the 1800-1880. Around 1 thousand people were involved in the building of the railway. The price was cheaper and much faster. He also teaches us about telegrams were the first Internet so people can send messages through the telegram. It was found around the 1800s. Everybody was connecting with telegram and it became daily lives and they have no jobs. The businesses and industries grow because people needed more products faster. To practice medicines back in those days was a combination of horrors and chance, they used a lot of dangerous stuffs. The first X-ray was discovered in 1895, it was first used on women.

Today Mr. Rick told us about the Victorian in 19th century. That time during the 19th century middle class and upper class were going poor.Today Aaron teach us about the "Did the Victorian Care".The Victorian Era is popular becaus eof the child labour in factories. In 1840 there are only 20 children who goes to school. The children were told to help the family to get money, even the children work in dangerous places to only get money, even they only paid little.Children that has no parents were kept in the orphan houses.If the children did something wrong they were punished.

Week 5 Class 2

Today, Mr Rick taught us about The Great Exhibition that became a mall and we learned are Britain Racist. The British were once racist until John Newton and many people said stop slavery. They realised that trading people are bad. John Newton is a sailor and writer of Amazing Grace. We also talked about the team project. Today adit also teaches us about "What are the Victorian Value".

Week 5 Day 1

   So today we learned about changes in Britain. Mr Rick told us that when the United States were going to get their independence France helped them by giving them Guns and Soldiers. The industrial revolution also changed families and history. It was also the time where real estate became a business. During the France war the demand for food also increased and farmers started to get wealthy. But when the war ended farmers did not have enough money to live. By the 1900's children went to school and for the first time people could travel and went on vacations.

 Liberty, Equality and Fraternity and 1776 was the day the United States got their independence.

Today, we learn about the mentoring stuffs for our extra dextra score, we need to pick someone from grade 7 and be his/her mentor to help them understand about the system we’re using in history class to get better and higher grades in the class. We’re going to influence the seventh graders life a lot this year and help them whenever they need help and help them grow through their problems in grade seven. By the end of next week, we need to give Ps. Rick the names of our apprentice. The scorecard is ready today and we’re preparing the scorecards. Today's Kyle's turn to teach, he teaches us about George Stephensen. He is the one who make a bridge a long time ago. Fix Gauge is the tool that he used to built the bridge a long time ago, it is still used until now. He is the man in charge of making the railway rom Liverpool to Manchester. He wanted to build something to connect the two cities so he built it. The railway was built because it provided cheaper and more efficient alternative than the canal.

Today, Aaron did the L.D.L. Aaron teach about the How did the farmers produce more foods, its the third topic of the book. That day, Mr.Rick did not come, so Mr. Mak replace him. It was also fun having Mr. Mak becoming our history teacher. Aaron teach about how did the farmers produce more food, the farmers need to work hard to get food. The farmers make barley and wheat.

Today, 2 person did the LDL. Sherin restarted her LDL because she did something wrong on her first LDL. The second teacher is Adit, He teaches us about The Children In The Mill, It is the second topic of the book. Mr.Rick Teaches us about Children In The Mills too. He told us that the children are used becuase they were forced. Their work are cleaning the machines and helping their wworking parents.

Today we started our LDL, Sherin went first. We also started our discussion on the industrial revolution and Mr rick told us some things about Romans. He told us that if the Roman empire was not destroyed, we would have been able to went to the moon 100 years earlier. And then Mr Rick showed us a powerpoint regarding the industrial revolution. And then he also told us unlike last year we needed to do our homework even if it isn't our time to present.

Today we watch a video about an active classroom and discuss about it. Then we discuss about the technology and IT we use for the class. We need to find at least 3 BHQs and write them in section 3 and answer them by asking questions or research. In semester 2, we will be using the Kath Murdoch Inquiry Method. We didn't start our team teaching yet, it starts after lebaran holiday.
